Parapsylla, a Gondwanan element in the psyllid fauna of southern Africa (Homoptera)

The genus Parapsylla (Homoptera: Psylloidea) is redescribed and placed in the Diaphorininae of the Family Aphalaridae. Its relationships within this subfamily are discussed. The genus Agmapsylla syn. nov. is placed into the synonymy of Parapsylla , and Pennavena syn. nov. and Eudiaphorina syn. nov. are placed into the synonymy of Diaphorina. The eight known species of Parapsylla are distributed in southern Africa and upland areas of East Africa. Host plant relationships are not clearly established but the genus appears to be associated with species of Maytenus (Celastraceae), Olinia (Oliniaceae) and possibly Olea (Oleaceae) and Syzygium (Myrtaceae). Parapsylla relicta syn. nov, and A. aureus syn. nov. are placed into the synonymy of Arytaina capensis. Parapsylla capensis comb. nov. is transferred from Arytaina, Parapsylla valens comb. nov. is transferred from Diaphorina , and the following new species are described: P. angolensis sp. nov., P. eafra sp. nov., P. huila sp. nov., P. marginipennis sp. nov., P. rufa sp. nov. and P. theroni sp. nov.     

四川自贡大山铺蜀龙动物群——简报Ⅴ 两栖类

本文对扁头中国短头鲵(新属新种) (Sinobrachyops placenticephalus gen. et sp. nov.) 的形态特征和分类位置进行简述.标本得自著名的恐龙化石产地——自贡大山铺,产出时代为中侏罗世.中国短头鲵是目前迷齿类中在地史上最年轻的一个属.它的发现使迷齿类在地球上生存时代的上限推移到中侏罗世.     

中国大陆的一种植物新记录

1985年,我在参加由安徽省芜湖市科委、卫生局和九华山管理处联合组织的九华山植物资源调查中,采到一种兰科毛兰属植物,经鉴定系葡萄毛兰Eria reptans(Fr. et Sav.)Makino。本种只记载分布于日本和我国台湾岛,而在中国大陆是地理分布新记录。同时,毛兰属也是安徽省地理分布新记录的属。     

A high affinity,calmodulin-responsive (Ca2+ + Mg2+)-ATPase in isolated bone cells

Although acute alterations in Ca²⁺ fluxes may mediate the skeletal responses to certain humoral agents, the processes subserving those fluxes are not well understood. We have sought evidence for Ca²⁺-dependent ATPase activity in isolated osteoblast-like cells maintained in primary culture. Two Ca²⁺-dependent ATPase components were found in a plasma membrane fraction: a high affinity component (half-saturation constant for Ca²⁺ of 280 nM, $\text{V}{}_{\mathrm{<mtext>max</mtext>}}$ of 13.5 nmol/mg per min) and a low affinity component, which was in reality a divalent cation ATPase, since Mg²⁺ could replace Ca²⁺ without loss of activity. The high affinity component exhibited a pH optimum of 7.2 and required Mg²⁺ for full activity. It was unaffected by potassium or sodium chloride, ouabain or sodium azide, but was inhibited by lanthanum and by the calmodulin antagonist trifluoperazine. This component was prevalent in a subcellular fraction which was also enriched in 5′-nucleotidase and adenylate cyclase activities, suggesting the plasma membrane as its principal location. Osteosarcoma cells, known to resemble osteoblasts in their biological characteristics and responses to bone-seeking hormones, contained similar ATPase activities. Inclusion of purified calmodulin in the assay system caused small non-reproducible increases in the Ca²⁺-dependent ATPase activity of EGTA-washed membranes. Marked, consistent calmodulin stimulation was demonstrated in membranes exposed previously to trifluoperazine and then washed in trifluoperazine-free buffer. These results indicate the presence of a high affinity, calmodulin-sensitive Ca²⁺-dependent ATPase in osteoblast-like bone cells. As one determinant of Ca²⁺ fluxes in bone cells, this enzyme may participate in the hormonal regulation of bone cell function.     

河南开封地区间日疟原虫在中华按蚊体内的发育观察

十余年来,广东、河南、陕西等省均报告有形态特殊的间日疟原虫存在,并曾被命名为间日疟原虫多核亚种(Plasmodium vivax multincleatum)(江静波等,1965),或称为变异的间日疟原虫(张奎等,1980),以上命名均是以疟原虫红内期的形态特征为依据,其在蚊体内的发育特征如何,则尚缺乏报告。1979年我们曾初步观察了该虫在蚊体内的发育情况(江静波等,1980),于后,1980年又对该种疟原虫在中华按蚊体内的发育情况进行了较系统的观察,现将结果报告如下:     

辽宁省啮齿动物的地理区划

辽宁省的啮齿动物,过去曾在局部地区进行过调查(伍律等,1958;董谦等,1962;林兰泉等,1965),我站自1961年以来对全省作了较为全面的调查工作。关于啮齿动物的地理区划问题,肖增祜等(1978)曾作过区划拟议,将辽宁省初步划分为三个动物地理省(辽东山地丘陵省、辽西山地丘陵省、辽河平原省)。本文根据1958—1981年全省啮齿动物的调查资料,将辽宁省划分为五个啮齿动物地理省,现作如下叙述和讨论。     

Immunologic and clinical improvement of progressive coccidioidomycosis following administration of transfer factor

Three patients with progressive coccidioidomycosis were given preparations of transfer factor (TF). Adverse reactions to TF were minimal. Following TF administration two of these patients had prolonged clinical remissions in their coccidioidal disease. Cellular immune responses were sequentially evaluated by coccidioidininduced delayed-type skin tests, lymphocyte blast transformation and macrophage inhibition factor production (MIF). These three patients each exhibited different cellular immune patterns before and after TF administration. Two patients converted their coccidioidin skin tests, and one converted lymphocyte transformation response to coccidioidin. Also, TF apparently favorably affected the MIF response in all three patients.     

新疆黑粉菌的初步研究

作者于1986年参加巴尔鲁克山真菌考察,并到阿尔泰山地、伊犁谷地、吐鲁番等地采得黑粉菌标本70余份,鉴定为8属36种,13种为我国新纪录,它们是石竹叶苔炭黑粉(Anthracoidea caryophylleae Latour.),卡里炭黑粉(Anthracoidea karii(Liro) Nannf.),范基灰黑粉(Anthracoidea vankyiNannfeldt),短柄草腥黑粉(Tilletia olida (Riess) Schr(?)t.),剪股颍条黑粉(Urocystis agrostidis (Lavrov.) Zundel),黑麦草条黑粉(Urocystis bo-livari Bubák & Fragoso),雀麦条黑粉(Urocystis bromi (Lavrov) Zundel),拂子茅条黑粉(Urocystis calamagrostidis (Lavrov) Zundel),茅香条黑粉(Urocystis hierochloae (Murashk) Vánky),尼氏条黑粉(Urocystis nevodo-vskyi Schwarzman),早熟禾条黑粉(Urocystis poae(Liro)Padw.& Khan),报春花条黑粉(Urocystis primulicola P Magn.),和泡斑黑粉(Ustilagopustulata (D.C.) Winter     

中国拟盘多毛孢属真菌的七个新组合

作者按照Steyaert(1949)和Sutton(1980)的分类观点,对1987—1988年从我国广西、江西、浙江等地采集的Pestalotiopsis属真菌进行了研究,确认了拟盘多毛孢属真菌的7个新组合种,即Pestalotiopsis carveri(Guba)comb nov.,Pestalotiopsis elasticae(Koord.)comb.nov.,Pestalotiopsis langloisii(Guba)comb.nov.,Pestalotiopsis oleandri(Guba)comb.nov.,Pestalotiopsis sinensis(shen)comb.nov.,Pestalotiopsis sydowiana(Bres.)comb.nov.和Pestalotiopsis zahlbruckneriana(Bres.)comb.nov.
